MARE Webinar organized by UTM
On Wednesday 9th December 2020, an internal discussion with MARE Malaysia partner universities (UTP, UTM, UMT and UniKL) were conducted to discuss on revision of selected courses for each university. Later in the afternoon of the same day, MARE Webinar starts with opening remarks, keynote lectures, and an online forum. On the second day of the seminar, Thursday 10th of December 2020, there were presentations from partner universities involved. There are two representatives from UTP which are Dr. Teh Hee Min (Topic: Enhancement of Student Learning Experiences Through A Site Reconnaissance at The Eroded Beach in Teluk Nipah, Pangkor Island) and Mr. Mohamad Shaufi Sokiman (Topic: The Comparison on Distribution of Minerals Between Fluvial and Coastal Sediments of Terengganu, Malaysia).

Online Forum on Environmental Awareness Program in Higher Education
Content
The 1-hour talk explains the various type of pollutants such as sewage, plastics and e-waste in our environment. For a more detailed explanation, the talk focus on marine debris and plastic pollution. How we as an individual can do to reduce the marine debris also be emphasized in the talk. The students also respond how long it does take debris to decompose in the environment. After the talk, students are given a group assignment in jamboard to present I’am not plastic project.

Meeting “The adoption of online teaching course syllabus”

During the roundtable discussion, all partners discussed on work progress and activity planning, documents needed for project reporting, possible collaborations

Seminar on “Building The network among Vietnamese Partnerships in implementation of ERASMUS + Funded Projects”

Seminars for administrators and stakeholders and other onsite events UTP
On 6th of February 2020, during Session 1, Dr. Shaharin has invited new team members from Mechanical Engineering Department (ME), Petroleum Engineering Department (PE), and Civil and Environmental Engineering Department (CVE) to present on the newly awarded international Erasmus project, Marine Coastal and Delta Sustainability for Southeast Asia (MARE). Dr. Shaharin introduced the involved organization partners, background, objectives, duration and expected outcomes of the project. He also shared the information on the potential courses that would be beneficial and related to the theme of MARE.
