Establishment of sectoral collaborative platforms in each PC
The project task was to set-up national Sectoral Cooperation Platform (SCP) dealing with sustainable governance & management of coastal, delta & marine (CDM) issues in all the PCs.
We explored the range of incentives for employers to participate in the debates on curriculum, in development and teaching in the field of CDM sustainable management and in the actual curriculum development and teaching, in research support, and in governance and QA arrangements, and determined the way to institutionalise the incentives.
SCPs are set as an open-to-join multiple-party agreements; functionally it is an initiative initially hosted by PC academic partners on a recurrent basis, with focal points providing management and organisational support, calling meetings and supporting organisation of SCPs training events, national seminars, conferences, exhibitions (c.a. 3-4 years after the end of the project; the operational costs will be covered by hosting partners, and from revenues coming from memberships (the option to be explored), exhibition and conference fees. MARE platforms are officially launched, initially consisting of the broader (formal and informal) MARE project partnership and its praxis partners.
MARE SCP is a formal network set to disseminate and sustain project’s results after the end of the project and promote the engagement of professionals dealing with sustainable management and policies with academia for knowledge co-production and development of excellence in training and research.
This result included different activities to ease the participation of staff members in the debates on curriculum, in development and teaching in the MARE fields sustainable management and in the actual curriculum development and teaching, in research support, and in governance and QA arrangements, and determined the way to institutionalise the incentives. SCP are set as an open-to-join multiple-party agreements and started with events hosted at National level by MY and VN partners.
SCPs are designed as sustainable organisational formats, which are, being established, not dependent on EU funding; therefore all the benefits delivered by SCPs during the project are expected after the project as well.
